Use the CHECK-IN and CHECK-OUT softkeys to check guests in and out. Checking a guest into a room assigns the room as "Occupied"; checking a guest out of a room assigns the room as "Vacant".
When you press either the CHECK-IN or CHECK-OUT softkey, the following features or data are cleared or reset to defaults:
count of calls made
Message Registration (length and cost of calls made)
Call Block and Call Restriction parameters for the room are reset to the values programmed in the Hotel Options form.
Message Waiting Indication (see Note below)
Name, Affiliation, and Location fields (The Keep Teldir Entry on Check Out option can be used to restrict or unrestrict a room without clearing all information (such as the name and affiliation of the room).
NOTE: Only directed MWIs (i.e., those activated by front desk staff) and callback message (i.e., those activated by other users) are cleared on check-in/check-out. MWIs activated by voice mail are not cleared.
The clearing of the following is optional on a check-out (based on the Hotel Option form programming) and mandatory on a check-in:
pending Wake-up calls
VIP Status
Language: Set to default active language
Do Not Disturb
Call History, Last Number Redials, Repeat Number Saved, Call Info, Contacts.
NOTE: If you are using Suite Services, feature clearing is performed either on the Suite Pilot or the individual suite member as needed. For example, Redial clearing is performed at the suite member level; whereas, DND is cleared on the Suite Pilot Number (or primary member) which controls DND for the entire suite.
